As the crescent moon brings the blessed month of Ramadan to a close, our mosque warmly invites you and your family to join us in celebrating Eid Al-Fitr on Wednesday, 10 April 2024. This day marks not just the end of a month of fasting and reflection, but also a time for community, gratitude, and joy. We have arranged special congregational prayers (Salat al-Eid) to accommodate everyone in our community, along with insightful bayans to enrich this blessed occasion.
Eid Jammat Times & Bayans
Our mosque has organised the following schedule for Eid Al-Fitr prayers on Wednesday, 10 April 2024, to facilitate participation from our community:
- 8:00 AM Prayer led by Maulana Sher: An Urdu bayan will be delivered by Maulana Sher at 7:45 AM before the prayer.
- 9:00 AM Prayer led by Imam Ayub: An English bayan will be provided by Imam Ayub at 8:45 AM prior to the prayer. Attendees are advised to arrive early due to expected larger crowds.
- 10:00 AM Prayer led by Sheikh Ahmed: The congregation for this prayer is also expected to be large; early arrival is recommended to ensure orderly seating.
Family Accommodations
Families are at the heart of our celebration. We have made arrangements to ensure that families can pray together comfortably at all our jammats. Your presence as a family unit adds to the communal spirit of Eid.
Attendance Etiquette
Given that the 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM jammats are expected to be especially busy, we urge you to arrive early. This not only helps in managing the crowd efficiently but also fosters a serene and respectful atmosphere for the prayers and khutbah. We kindly request all attendees to maintain silence and listen attentively to the Imam during the khutbah, embracing the messages shared.
Dress Modestly & Respect the Masjid
Eid is a time of joy and celebration, and dressing up is a part of the festivities. We remind everyone to choose their attire with modesty in mind, honouring the sanctity of the Masjid. Let’s celebrate with dignity, reflecting the values we cherish.
Parking
Parking can be a challenge during such large gatherings. We appeal to you to park sensibly and responsibly, ensuring that we do not inconvenience our neighbors or block any pathways. Your cooperation helps maintain harmony and respect within our community.
A Time for Gratitude and Community
Eid Al-Fitr is more than just a celebration; it’s a time for gratitude, giving, and coming together as a community. Let’s embrace this Eid with open hearts, sharing joy, and renewing our bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood. We look forward to seeing you and your loved ones on this joyous day.
May this Eid bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to you and your family. Eid Mubarak!
